Brief History

For many years, the Southborough Cultural Arts Council (SCAC) was responsible for all expenses for the Arts Center building, from oil and electricity to maintenance and repairs. As of three years ago the town assumed responsibility of the physical building.

In that transition, the Recreation Department and Facilities renovated and moved into office space on the first floor. We have shared use of the classroom and the gallery space. The basement holds our pottery studio and storage for the town.

There are currently two artists in residence in the building which pay their rent to the town.

This is a great time to get involved with the Arts Center as we focus on expanding our cultural programs and art classes. We hope you will join us.
